Increase Restaurant Profits By Using A Portal!

RESTAURANT DELIVERY MARKETING
Increase Profits By Using A Restaurant Portal

Unless you’ve somehow been able to avoid the Internet for the past year, you’ve probably noticed how much the restaurant delivery service has been growing.  Pizza and Chinese food aren’t your only options anymore, and you don’t have to even call in your order.  People are throwing away their old takeout menus and are now using online companies that let you browse tons of menus in one place, and even order food for delivery or takeout.

These online companies, like GrubHub and Delivery For All, bring restaurants extra sales by placing their menus online for ordering, and even help increase their online presence through their marketing efforts.  For restaurants, it’s completely free marketing, and only costs a small commission fee if they bring you any orders.

Thousands of successful restaurants have already signed up for at least one of these restaurant “portals” and raving about what it can do for their business.   They understand that a worst-case scenario is that they don’t get any extra orders (so there’s zero cost), but they still get extra online exposure for free (and maybe even some new walk-in business just from seeing them online).  Since the system is completely results based, it’s no wonder that tons of restaurants are signing up with portals every day.

JOIN A PORTAL
While there are tons of choices, and you can sign up with multiple portals, our favorite emerging portal is Delivery For All.  They seem to be doing all the right things with an easy to use website and mobile app.  They’re quickly growing across the country.  No matter what part of the country your restaurant is in, we highly recommend signing up with them online.  They make it easy with a simple form: http://www.deliveryforall.com/#!signup/coub.

Five Things Restauranteurs Often Forget

Five Things Restauranteurs Often Forget

Restauranteurs are hard workers.  They work long hours and often don't get much praise.  Often times restaurant owners wear several "hats",and are constantly on the go. They're usually "putting out fires" in both front and back of the house, getting ready for the next pop, or cleaning up after a tiring day.  In their busy days, owners sometimes miss checking up on the small ticket items, instead focusing on the most important issues at the moment.  This can make them miss out on some small, but simply opportunities that can change a customers perspective on the restaurant.  Let's look at a few of these opportunities, which could be game changers for any restaurant.

1. Ambience - We all use our basic senses throughout the day, no matter what situation we're in.  It's typically an unconscious process that we go through to experience the world.  It's no different when customers go out to enjoy a restaurant.  Because of this, restaurant owners should be aware of the sights, smells, and sounds that come out of their restaurant.  I'm not saying that you should go out and hire an interior designer. Far from it.  The "sight" customers may experience could easily revolve around proper lighting.  Are you setting the right mood for the right time of day or night?  Are you using candles, dimming lights, etc?  How about smell: Does it smell like the amazing food coming out of the kitchen, or sewage backup from the restrooms?  Get this one right, or people won't stay very long.  Sound can be just as important for setting the ambience of your restaurant.  Play music that makes sense for the kind of food you are serving, and don't make it too loud.  This is often something that is overlooked.  Does your choice of music make sense?

2. Staff Competition - Having a happy and motivated staff isn't always the easiest thing to maintain.  Having daily/weekly competitions can not only keep them having fun, but can also be used to increase sales.  Try something like "who can sell the most xyz item".  You'll be suprised how much fun they have with it.  If they're having fun, I bet that will translate into your customers getting a better experience too!

3. The First Bite - Contrary to popular belief, the main entree may not be the most important food you serve.  Have you ever thought about how important that side of fries or mashed potatoes are?  Do you tend to overlook those in favor of your main dish?  Consider this: 9 times out of 10, the first bite that your customer will take won't be out of the main dish.  It will be a bite from the side dish.  What kind of impression are you making with your sides?  They may just be the most important item you serve!

4. The Restrooms - By now, everyone knows how important restaurants can be, but it's still commonly overlooked by owners.  It's important to set an hourly cleaning/checkup on your restrooms.  Customers directly correlate how clean (or dirty) the restroom is to how clean (or dirty) your kitchen is.  Yes, it's the customers who actually make that mess in the restrooms, but it's the level of attention that it gets that's important.  Try having your host go through quickly one time each hour (while they're doing this, have them also do a quick walk through the walkways of the dining room to pick up or sweep up anything that might be giving a poor impression out there as well).

5. Takeout Menus - Lets face it, your customer also eats at other restaurants.  In fact, your customer not only eats out, but they also order delivery and sometimes they just want to pick up food and head home.  Are you missing out on having your customer order delivery and takeout from you? You might just be sending them elsewhere instead of keeping their business for those days they feel like they don't want to sit down in a restaurant.  So how do you keep the customer?  Try something simple like having your staff hand them a takeout menu when they leave.  Do you have a way for them to order online? Have you signed up with restaurant networks like Delivery For All (www.deliveryforall.com), so customers can find and order from you other ways online?  You might just be missing out on extra sales and profit if you aren't doing this.  Print up some takeout menus and sign up for free with some online delivery/takeout services to increase your community presence.  It will be worth it's weight in gold!

Delivery Service Rapidly Grows Across The Country

FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE GROWS RAPIDLY

Just a few weeks ago, Delivery For All was starting an expansion to offer restaurant delivery service to more customers.  They've been expanding at a rapid pace, now they're already available in Dallas, Fort Worth, College Station TX, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami, Pinehurst NC and Fairview Heights IL.

Delivery For All (www.deliveryforall.com) gives a fresh new look to the landscape of restaurant delivery services.  The sleek design of their website sets them apart from the typical national delivery service websites, which are often cheesy and overloaded with confusion.  They often say they offer thousands of options, only to find out there's really only a few, just re-listed several times in different categories.  Delivery For All is a breath of fresh air, giving customers what they want, a simple, nice looking, solution to making delivery fast and easy.  Choose your city, choose your zip code, and you have a complete list of restaurants that deliver to you!  Simple!

It's no surprise that a fresh concept like Delivery For All is growing quickly, and we wouldn't be surprised if their growth continues.  Their customer service is helpful, and their selection of local restaurants is pretty nice, and still growing (of course).

Where will they go next?  We'd expect Delivery For All to pick up a few more metro cities within the next few months, and eventually hit some really large markets like LA, NYC, and ATL.  Keep an eye on this company, as they're definitely worth watching.  Also download their mobile app.  They're always sending out messages with discounts and freebies.  Worth it? Definitely!

Delivery For All - Launching Food Delivery in Texas

DELIVERY IN TEXAS IS GROWING!

Still a young company, Delivery For All has taken it's first steps outside of its home in Arizona.  This weekend they launched services in Dallas, Fort Worth and College Station.  With them, they brought the ability to order delivery from tons of different local and chain restaurants in the area.  For restaurants, working with Delivery For All gives them a lot more exposure, and also gives the ability for customers to order their food for delivery or takeout online.  Founder and CEO, Trevor Way, says "Think of it like this: No longer do you have to sift through your drawers again looking for all those takeout menus.  Now they're all online in one central location.  Simply go online (or open your mobile app), browse menus from your favorite restaurants, then place your order and enjoy!"

Delivery For All seems to make it easy, with an easy to use (and pretty cool looking) website.  If you're into "mobile", their mobile app was also just named "App of the Month" by Conduit Mobile.  Their simple, sleek designs make ordering a cinch, and you can even get text or email notifications about where your food is!  Pretty cool, if you're into that kinda stuff.

Delivery For All is just getting started, but you can tell they've really started the ball rolling on a National push.  They aren't done with Texas yet, as they've got their sites on other metro areas in Texas like San Antonio and Houston.  Besides they'll also be launching this month in Tampa, Miami and Boca Raton, as well as a few smaller cities in Illinois and North Carolina.  Keep an eye out, cause chances are they'll be in your neighborhood soon.  I can taste the mouth-watering flavors already!

If you haven't done so, check out their facebook and twitter too....it's pretty darn funny, and will put a smile on your face daily.
